Nissan has extended the warranty coverage for CVT transmissions in specific 2017-2018 Altima (North American version of Teana) and 2018-2019 Sentra (North American version of Sylphy), Versa Sedan, and Versa Note models. The extended warranty covers the complete CVT assembly, including internal components, gaskets, seals, control valve bodies, torque converters, cooler kits (where applicable), and transmission control module (TCM) reprogramming. The coverage period has been extended from the original 60 months/60,000 miles (approximately 96,560 km) to 84 months/84,000 miles (approximately 135,174 km), whichever occurs first.
The warranty extension applies exclusively to vehicles sold or registered in the United States. Models in Canada and Mexico are not included in this program.

Eligible vehicle owners must complete a Warranty Extension Reinstatement Form, available through Nissan's official website. Completed forms may be submitted via email or fax. This process applies only to warranty reinstatement and does not cover reimbursement for previous repairs.
